About us

We believe that one of the main problems associated with assault is that no one talks about the topic and good information is hard to find. Thus, we developed this website aiming to provide easily accessible educational resources, and to start a conversation on the topic. These are tailored to fit individuals with different concerns and perspectives on the topic. Readers may include someone who has never really thought about the topic before, a friend seeking to support someone who has just been assaulted, or a person seeking information after an assault happened to them.

In addition, we founded the Self-Defence Society at King’s College London, which has the same aims as the website. It allows students to attend weekly physical self-defence classes, and join talks with experts offering their perspectives on different related issues. These seek to start a conversation on different topics surrounding the issue, such as ‘why pornography matters’.

Please keep in mind that we are not at all experts in the field. Our aim is to share information that might be helpful to you. However, given the breadth of the topic, this is just our personal advice and we do our best to work along professionals in order to provide information that is as accurate as possible. Therefore, please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions for improvement.
